D’origine malienne, fait bouger les lignes en artiste libre et inspiré.

Sa musique s’imprègne en permanence de ses voyages partout dans le monde (Afrique, Asie, Usa…), des rencontres avec les musiciens qu’il admire et du mouvement continu de la création musicale contemporaine.Les pratiques et instruments ancestraux du Mali (N’goni, Calebasse, Karignan) et d’ailleurs (guitare électro-acoustique, loopers), sa voix rauque et profonde, sont autant de matières qu’il expérimente en permanence et met à contribution dans les titres, albums, façonnés d’abord par lui, puis enrobés avec Bud Lafugitive et Benoit Daniel aux manettes des machines et claviers d’aujourd’hui.

Of Malian origin, moves the lines as a free and inspired artist. His music is constantly imbued with his travels all over the world (Africa, Asia, Usa ...), meetings with the musicians he admires and the continuous movement of contemporary musical creation. The ancestral practices and instruments of Mali (N'goni, Calebasse, Karignan) and elsewhere (electro-acoustic guitar, loopers), his hoarse and deep voice, are all subjects that he constantly experiences and uses in the titles, albums, first shaped by him, then coated with Bud Lafugitive and Benoit Daniel at the controls of today's machines and keyboards.

TAKE THE COLTRANE / WORLDWIDE TOUR 2020 - 2021

 

A quatorze ans, il étudie la musique avec un professeur particulier, puis avec Philippe Renault au conservatoire de Marseille ou il obtient la médaille d'or de la classe de jazz.Lauréat du concours Jazz Futur 90 parrainé par Dee Dee Bridgewater et prix de soliste au tremplin de la Défense 97, il s'impose au gré des festivals (Marciac, Calvi, Antibes, Montreux...), jam sessions et rencontres (Johnny Griffin, Wynton Marsalis, Jon et Michèle Hendricks, Steve Grossman, Daniel Humair, Emmanuel Bex, Laurent de Wilde, les Belmondo, Jean Loup Longnon, Eric Le Lann, etc...), comme un des plus vifs improvisateurs de la scène européenne.​

At fourteen, he studied music with a private teacher, then with Philippe Renault at the Marseille Conservatory where he obtained the gold medal in the jazz class.Winner of the Jazz Futur 90 competition sponsored by Dee Dee Bridgewater and soloist prize at the springboard of La Défense 97, he won at festivals (Marciac, Calvi, Antibes, Montreux ...), jam sessions and meetings (Johnny Griffin , Wynton Marsalis, Jon and Michèle Hendricks, Steve Grossman, Daniel Humair, Emmanuel Bex, Laurent de Wilde, les Belmondo, Jean Loup Longnon, Eric Le Lann, etc ...), as one of the most lively improvisers on the European scene.

Dernier géant du piano d'un genre qu'il préfère appeler musique classique américaine que jazz, Ahmad Jamal est revenu récemment sur le devant de la scène avec Blue Moon et Saturday Morning, deux albums dans lesquels il a porté très haut son art d'un groove irréprochable. Un symbole d'ouverture qui rime avec l'une des musiques les plus abouties d'aujourd'hui. Un nouvel album du légendaire pianiste et compositeur Ahmad Jamal est toujours un événement très attendu.

Ahmad Jamal has recently returned to the front of the stage with Blue Moon and Saturday Morning, two albums in which he has carried his art to the forefront, an irreproachable groove. A symbol of openness that rhymes with one of the most accomplished musics of today. A new album of the legendary pianist and composer Ahmad Jamal is still a highly anticipated event.

"Aretha Franklin". Il devint un des pionniers de la fierté noire aux cotés de James Brown. Les hommages nombreux, de son vivant et après sa mort, honorent cette musique, cette force silencieuse pour la paix, bouleversant les codes sociaux au nom du peuple. Kelyn & Keite aujourd’hui honorent à leur tour le doux génie de son âme.

Curtis Mayfield is to Soul Music what Bach was to Classics and Gershwin and Irving Berlin were to Pop Music; a laurel and catalyst soul and the heart and soul of a song and a people. "Aretha Franklin". Tributes to Curtis Mayfield have come in many different packages - from bronze plaques in Hollywood to celebrations in the music industry. Some came before he died - allowing him to appreciate the applause and approval. Others then came, more thoughtful, with time to show respect because of this silent force music and social change. Recordings - reconditioned or newly produced - were the most common tribute. Here, the focus is on how Kelyn & Keite came together to honor the sweet genius of the soul.

D’origine antillaise, Chyco Simeon passe son enfance à Montrouge, dans la banlieue sud de Paris. Son père mélomane lui transmet, lui insuffle sa passion pour la musique, le jazz, la salsa, le classique et bien sur la musique de sa terre originelle, la Caraïbe. A l’écoute de ces sonorités variées, le petit Chyco s’ouvre des espaces mélodiques multiples qui vont sans nul doute influencer sa carrière, ses goûts et ses créations.

On le range alors dans la catégorie «Caribbean Urban Jazz». Le style Simeon est né. Il va s’inscrire aujourd’hui, sur un 5eme ouvrage, où maturité, technicité, diversité, passion vont se conjuguer pour nous ouvrir aux nouveaux horizons de Chyco Simeon.

​Of Caribbean origin, Chyco Simeon spent his childhood in Montrouge, in the southern suburbs of Paris. His music-loving father passed on to him, instilled in him his passion for music, jazz, salsa, classical and, of course, the music of his original land, the Caribbean. Listening to these varied sounds, little Chyco opens up multiple melodic spaces that will no doubt influence his career, his tastes and his creations.

It is then placed in the “Caribbean Urban Jazz” category. The Simeon style was born. He will register today, on a 4th work, where maturity, technicality, diversity, passion will combine to open us to the new horizons of Chyco Simeon.

 MINA AGOSSI / ALBUM " URBAFIKA "

La musique de Mina Agossi n’a pour tout ancrage que son imaginaire et pour seule escale le monde entier. Béninoise par son père, bretonne par sa mère, Mina Agossi est surtout une voyageuse qui va chercher l’inspiration où la mènent ses périples : aux Etats-Unis, en Espagne, en Russie, au Liban…

A chaque étape, des rencontres fortes, des émotions partagées, des expériences éclectiques, qui nourrissent son sens de l’improvisation et stimulent son imaginaire. Bien que fort occupée par les concerts qu’elle donne en Europe, en Afrique comme aux Etats-Unis avec son trio ,

Mina Agossi consacre encore du temps à d’autres projets. En 2017 AHMAD JAMAL l’invite à traduire et enregistrer une magnifique ballade "MARSEILLE" pour son nouvel album, puis à tourner avec son combo en France.

Mina Agossi's music is only anchored in her imagination and her only stop is the whole world. Beninese by her father, Breton by her mother, Mina Agossi is above all a traveler who seeks inspiration where her journeys take her: in the United States, Spain, Russia, Lebanon ... At each stage, strong encounters, shared emotions, eclectic experiences, which feed his sense of improvisation and stimulate her imagination. Although she is very busy with the concerts she gives in Europe, Africa and the United States with her trio, Mina Agossi still spends time on other projects. In 2017 AHMAD JAMAL invited him to translate and record a magnificent ballad "MARSEILLE" for his new album, then to tour with his combo in France.

Michel aimait à dire que ses compositions étaient des chansons.

Faire un portrait musical comme un tracé de sa vie par ceux qui étaient les plus imprégnés de sa personnalité et les plus proches : Nathalie et Philippe concrétisent là le souhait si cher à Michel d'écrire des paroles sur sa musique. Nathalie réalise ce rêve qu'elle avait elle aussi depuis longtemps et comme elle l'écrit et le chante : " son âme nous est offerte ".

Michel liked to say that his compositions were songs. To make a musical portrait as a layout of his life by those who were most imbued with his personality and the closest: Nathalie and Philippe concretize there the wish so dear to Michel to write lyrics on his music. Nathalie realizes this dream that she too had long ago and as she writes and sings: "her soul is offered to us."
